The 10th Annual LAPFF Awards & Global TV Broadcast
The LA Punk Film Festival Awards are shifting from a standard private ceremony into a permanent piece of media. This year, we are producing a fully recorded, produced Film & TV Show Event that will highlight the work of our filmmakers and live permanently on our worldwide channel.
Whether an award is handed out live on stage at our Laemmle West Los Angeles events or awarded to an international filmmaker thousands of miles away, every single acceptance, filmmaker interview, and behind-the-scenes moment will be filmed and edited into this special broadcast.
Once international streaming votes are tabulated, the final show will drop right here on the channel, serving as a permanent showcase for your talent.
Official Award Categories:
Bound together by the punk ethos, our categories celebrate structural defiance, raw truth, and stylistic rebellion:

- Best Independent Horror Feature: Celebrating the finest implementation of shock tactics, independent vision, and uncensored commentary on societal rot.
- The Suburban Edge Award (Coming-of-Age): Awarded to the film that best captures suburban ennui, alienation, and characters making unapologetic life choices.
- Best Stylistic Rebellion (The Tarantino/Ritchie Award): Celebrating hyper-stylized scripts, non-linear structures, and masterfully executed antihero narratives.
- The Radical Surprise Award (Originality & Dark Comedy): Honoring the film that completely destroys standard Hollywood genre boundaries with chaotic absurdity and unpredictability.
- Best Infinite Grind (Dystopian & Sci-Fi): Awarded to the best gritty, anti-authoritarian landscape depicting characters navigating relentless survival against oppressive systems.
