THE LA PUNK FILM FESTIVAL, ONE OF THE LONGEST-RUNNING DEDICATED PUNK FILM FESTIVALS, CELEBRATES ITS 10TH ANNIVERSARY OCTOBER 8–18, 2026, WITH LIVE CINEMA AT LAEMMLE WEST LOS ANGELES AND AN EXPANDED INTERNATIONAL STREAMING EXHIBITION REACHING AUDIENCES WORLDWIDE.
For a decade, LA Punk Film Festival has created a dedicated platform for independent filmmakers whose work is bold, unconventional and unapologetically original. Its programming embraces the full spectrum of independent punk and alternative cinema—from features and shorts to documentaries, music films, horror, comedy, animation, experimental cinema, music videos and screenwriting.
STREAMING SINCE 2020, EXPANDING WORLDWIDE IN 2026
Streaming has been part of LA Punk Film Festival since 2020. For its 10th Anniversary, the festival is expanding that experience into a First Look International Streaming Exhibition, with programming beginning October 8 and rolling out throughout the festival.
The paid, curated exhibition extends the festival beyond the physical theater, giving audiences around the world an opportunity to discover selected films and connect with the filmmakers behind them.
Audience participation will be measured through the exhibition’s viewing and engagement metrics, creating a genuine audience component to the festival’s 2026 Audience Award rather than relying on a simple popularity poll.
The streaming exhibition will also feature filmmaker interviews, festival awards, special programming and a Filmmakers Lounge, extending the festival experience beyond the theater.

The 10th Anniversary brings the energy of punk cinema back into the theater with a series of live events at Laemmle West Los Angeles:

A private industry and press event with Beachdancer Films, featuring red-carpet opportunities, interviews and special screenings.
OCTOBER 16 — 10:00 PM — PUNK AFTER DARK
Laemmle West Los Angeles
A late-night punk cinema experience with films, filmmakers and special guests.
OCTOBER 17 — 10:00 AM — PUNK MORNING MATINÉE

A morning celebration of independent punk cinema.
