After producing/founding 12 different film festivals, I founded LA Punk Film Festival. As a filmmaker, producer, screenwriter, and director I wanted to create the kind of platform I wanted for my own films. One that goes beyond the screening and the laurel to provide filmmakers with audience, visibility, distribution opportunities, meaningful data, promotion, and a collaborative community. What began with punk’s independent spirit has grown into a 10-year international movement where filmmakers can connect, be discovered, share resources, and build their careers together — because the film doesn’t end when the screening ends.
